Partisan

Partisan is an eclectic events space and venue on Cheetham Hill Road just out of Manchester City Centre, which first opened in July 2017.

Operated as a collective and co-operative, it is democratically owned and managed by the people who work in and use it. This in turn means that it can be a free and affordable space to use for people in the community that need it. People can become members via this link: http://partisancollective.net/membership/

Located over two floors in a Grade II listed building, Partisan functions as a diverse space, with multiple areas accommodating events of various sizes, including the intriguing ‘art nook’ as well as a set meeting area.

Exhibitions, film screenings, book launches, gigs and parties are just some examples of the type of events held at Partisan.

For example, Manchester & Salford Anarchist Bookfair has taken place here, Women Asylum Seekers Together (WAST) have hosted a Writing Group for refugee women in the space and there are regular zine workshops.

Partisan also offer hot-desking facilities, venue hire and volunteering opportunities.
